MyGIG RER Problem
Ya it's the negative cable you pull first not the positive and if you have the mygig without nav for those who do you should pull the radio fuse first. Also replug the fuse in after hooking up the neg cable. It was a TSB might not apply to newer radiosor yours at all
I will keep you all posted. The dealer I purchased it from finally quit scratching their heads this afternoon and ok'd me to take it to the local dealer that wouldnt work with me. So, I called the local dealer about 3:00 pm this afternoon and they said they could get me in tomorrow. I will drop the truck off at 8:00 am and see what they come up with. I did try disconnecting the negative battery cables to no avail. It is dead....no satellite, no am/fm/DVD, no phone, no rear entertainment....no nothing. Hoping it is an easy fix, but guessing that they will probably have to replace the entire main panel. I will keep you posted.
Well, got my truck back, but the radio system, etc. is still dead as a hammer. The techs said that for some reason it went in to what they called an internal lockout feature which was unrecoverable. They jist of the story is that it has to be replaced. The parts are ordered and should be in Monday. I will let you know any further details. If any of you other owners are having problems, I think I would get them checked out now rather than waiting until something happens and permanently out of warranty.
