Go Recon Scanning LED Tailgate bar DEAD
Solid lights I agree with, instant-on LEDs even better. However, animated, flashing, scanning, whatever, I consider them to be a safety issue and should be banned. They draw my eye disproportionately to them, thus stopping me from seeing what the other vehicles on the Interstate are doing, particularly in the wet.
There's a fleet of public transport buses in my area that have them, and I'll do my best to get away from them being in my field of vision. Interestingly, it's on their older buses, and the newer ones don't have this dangerous feature.
I do wonder what the purchasers of these things think they are adding to their vehicles, it does nothing for the driver, and just cheapens the appearance of the vehicle to others.
I don't buy the "if you don't like it, don't post" argument (unless that's a directive from Internet Brands). Some say that XYZ modification looks good, others say it doesn't. What's the problem with voicing either opinion?

Oh I forgot this is an edit....If the blinking of the lights was an issue then our puddle lights would be done after a year would they not?
