Default Superchips FlashPaq 3865 Data Logging ?s

For you guys with a Superchips FlashPaq 3865, what all can you data log? I am primarily interested if you can log for knock and/or knock retard.

Thanks in advance!

You can only tune for octane, meaning if you run 87 in a 91 tune you cannot program knock retard. However you can tune for the 87 octane. I'm not sure which way it adjusts for the knock. but it basically tunes for whats in the tank. If there is A knock problem after that, it would be a guessing game. imo. However you can tune to 87 and run 91 or better. with no ill afffects. diablo actually allows both ways I believe , not sure 100% on that btw.

Data Log refers to performance numbers. Time and MPH over a distance.

datalogging refers to any engine parmeter. a/f ratio, timing, injector pulse, etc.

Are they a pay for additional feature? I do not recall seeing them.

It has been a while since I had mine out, may want to run an update.

I have no idea what the dattalogging capabilities of the 3865 are. and i doubt they have anymore than time/mph. i was just stating what "datalogging" is. I misread the question I guess.........

Let me give you a quick back story of why I posed the original question.

I currently have a Diablosport Predator and I can not get rid of knock retard, meaning the sensors sense knock, or predetonation, and pull timing (retarding the engine), and as result you lose power. I have never heard any audible knock but I can data log for it on the predator.

As a result, I am thinking about heading the Superchips route since I have not heard of any knock issues. Ideally I would like to install a tune, 93 performance ideally, and log for the same issues. If I can not data log for knock, is there another way to ensure my engine is running safely and optimally? It may be knocking, pulling timing, robbing power, and would not even know it. I wonder if this is occurring with current Superchips owners and they don't even know it?

I wonder if I can load a Superchips tune, then log with my predator since I have not sold it yet? It should work just as if I am logging a stock vehicle, stock in this case meaning no "Predator" tune.

Any input?

when i first started to read your question i too wondered if you could load a SC tune and then datalog with the predator. good question. best bet would be to email superchips or diablo themselves.

the first thing sc does is copy what the tuner believes is the stock set up. Then it memorizes it. If you are tuned too a diablo, you have too return too stock first. the sc tuner will not work till it stores the stock set up. You really don't wanna lose that set up from the factory. imo.Now the sc can tune too a 91 tune, and you should be able too "read" the motor with the diablo. But I'm no expert, just telling you what I read.
