Are they all vinyl, or a mix of vinyl and leather? The sales guy said the one I was looking at was leather and vinyl on the sides, but looked nothing like the leather in the truck next to it (which had the ram logo on the seat back).

 

None of the seats are real leather. The seats on my laramie are vinyl and so are the sport seats. They advertise it as leather but its really a type of "bonded leather" aka vinyl. lol

Is it the same material that is used on the heated/ventilated seats?

 

Some owners have been happy with the "real" leather Catskins and the Dodge "accessory" Leather covers found in the online parts catalogs in the accessory section.

The cost of either appears reasonable if leather is your preference.

 

They cannot advertise leather if it is not leather. Get the window sticker out I bet it says YES material and vinyl unless it in a Laramie and the Laramie if advertised as leather will be in the seating area only, vinyl on the sides and back. I would check with Katzkin and find out if the whole thing is leather or just the seating area and part of the back in the seating area...

 

Official term for the STOCK Sport seats are "Sport Cloth Bucket Seats". The "Sport Cloth Bucket Seats" in a Sport looks like these.

"Leather" seats are not available in a RC, only QC and CC.

Note.... this is for 09 and 10. 11 may change, you never know. Personally I like these seats. 23K miles and they are holding up VERY well and they are comfortable.

 

I like the look of the stock sport seats, but the ventilated option sounds nice. I have read that thread about the leather problems and I'm a bit leary of getting that option. I also don't like the huge logo embossed into the optional leather. Thanks for the pic. I don't remember seeing that label on the drivers seat stiching. What does it say?
