Not sure if you guys want to save some $$$$. There is a topic on here for a GPS with backup camera.

I went with a Garmin Nuvi 5000 with a 5.2" screen for $189 from CompUSA and a XO Vision backup camera from Amazon for $34.99. Both prices include shipping. If you want to with a Magellan 1700 with a 7" screen it's $219+ shipping. Grant it... it's not in the mirror but serves the same purpose for a lot less $$$$. Both units will suction cup to the silver bezel next to the radio. Both Garmin and Magellan have lifetime map updates for $69-$99 depending on when you buy. I checked the company that offers the NAV on the mirror mount and the update on maps every time it's $44.95. Also Garmin and Magellan and their NAV-provider have been around for a while, not sure on that company. Just an option.

I'm not criticizing anyone here, but when I got my truck, the last hing I wanted was the nav or any other expensive electronics that go obsolete in 2 years. For me, the regular radio with the aux input works great - I just plug in my MP3 player with over 5000 songs and books. For the Nav, I got a great deal on a portable 4" unit that I move around and even use on walks in the country. For backup, when hooking up my trailer, I use the two ***** on a telescoping antenna on a magnet and it works fine.
The one thing I've been trying to figure out, is how get a decent enough camera to hook up on my trailer and use it as a rear view mirror. I haven't found any cameras that will do for me.
