They need to make a good cold weather oil, one that don't sort of freeze...that could be the problem.

True, but when I use the drained canola oil to pop Orville Redenbacker's it has an objectionable after taste.

I suppose I could use it in the lawnmower though.

I do the 7 qts of oil and then just a hair more. It seems like when they sit in the cold that happens. Same thing with my girls aspen. Just ticks for a little bit is all. No worries it goes right away but i think the engine needs just a hair over 7 qts of oil.

The correctly rated 5w20 oils are almost fully synthetic.Even the 'non synthetic". Its takes that to make 5w20. The correctly rated oils in 5w20 are almost impossible to sludge.Oil may get full of contaminates but sludge it won't do any longer. Its just about a thing in the past.I don't believe the sludge thing of Penzoil sludging in a Hemi. Not if it has the correct rating. For the skinny on oil www.bobistheoilguy.com

Dodge recommends 5W-30 in a Hemi ,not 5W-20.That's a 4.7- I have a diesel motor that would probably run on used Wesson or Cranola, maybe- Peanut oil - I'd put it in the fuel tank, Then I'd use the Valvaline to deep fry my fish.. Bet my friends at the fish fry would love that..I'd put the used oil in my Harley, after the fish fry so I can smell my Harley's Farts "It would smell like catfish"..Let's have a fishfry..
