Speaker upgrade
Yes you do need the adapter plates, very easy to use... I mounted the speakers to the adapter plate then reinstalled in the door panel. I also purchased the wire adapters. I did have 1 door panel that vibrated.. I purchased a good quality black double stick tape... I applied it to the door then reinstalled the door panel.. problem solved.

I did the same thing to my 2010. After much trial and error I decided to keep the stock RER and just get the Kicker/Mopar setup, replaced 3 3.5s in the dash, 2 6x9 mid bass in front door, and 2 6x9 3 ways on the rear doors. I also replaced the crappy factory sub with 1 10in Memphis M1 pushed by a Memphis amp under the rear seat. It is in a Fox Acoustics box. It sounds pretty good to me. If you are worried about vibration/noise, look into installing some Dynamat Extreme, it is awesome stuff.
Thank you. I'm going to install them this weekend. I'm going with Infinity Kappa 3.5" in the dash and Infinity 6x9 on both front and back doors.

You are going to need a sub... I did the speaker change first also.... Good luck.

I'm still looking at sub replacements. JRTX, is your Fox Box for one or two subs? I've been looking for a single sub replacement for the factory Alpine box. I'd go with dual, but I use that cubby under the rear driver's side seat too much to give it up.
Amp them or you'll be sorry... Our factory deck does not produce enough RMS watts to keep those kappa's happy.
