I don’t have the factory deck anymore. I had installed a Pioneer AVIC D3. Which let me tell you is pretty nice. 2 of the cool thing about the AVIC D3 is that I can change the colors of the screen and buttons to match the color of the factory deck and change the background pic so that the Ram logo will appear every time I start the truck.

You are going to need a sub... I did the speaker change first also.... Good luck.[/quote]

I was thinking about adding a sub too but I use those compartments under the seats. Maybe I can give one spot up and put one sub in. do you have one or 2 subs?

You do understand that the Pioneer that you have is only rated at 22 watts RMS per channel, and those Infinity Kappa speakers are rated at 75 watts RMS per speaker, right? You don't have to run that 75w but I have these speakers in my 1997 Ram... They don't really start to sound decent until you start pushing at least 40w RMS to them.

Just sayin.

Martinez,
I installed 1 JL Audio 10" under the rear passenger seat... I bought the box on ebay for $60... The sub is powered by a JL Audio 175 watt RMS amp mounted under the drivers seat... The amp has a wired remote that I mounted inside the upper glove box. I did not amp my Boston Acoustics, they are extremely clean and loud enough for me...
Hope this helps,
Ross

Did you buy it local or online? I took a look at their website, and all they list are the dual sub setups.

What is the volume on this box, because it looks pretty small to support a 10" sub. The magnet of most subs will take up the majority of the airspace, so make sure you stuff that box with plenty of polyfill to help the bottom end. Volume/airspace was my biggest concern, so I made my own single enclosure out of fiberglass to get maximum cubic foot volume out of our limited space. Was a messy project, but worth the effort.
