Default Heated seats installed!

I put in the Mopar heated seat kit last friday. Just in time too, the temp today is 32. Anyway, it was actually really easy, only took 3 hours start to finish.

Was it just a matter of plugging it in and cutting the holes for the switches?

Yes & No. It is plug and play, no wire cutting, etc. It plugs into the 12v accessory in the center console by the shifter (male to female plug). The tedious work is with the seats, getting them out and getting the covers off. The bottom cushion had hog pins that need to be cut and replaced, the seat back is just velcro'd in. Anyway, I studied the instructions for like a week before taking it on. Here they are:

Once I started, it went so smooth, I could do it again with my eyes closed!

Do they have different heat settings? How much did the kit run you? Can you feel the heating elements in the seats? How well do they work?

And your 12v accessory outlet still works? I scrolled thru pretty quick, the lack of text leaves a little bit to the imagination. It looks like they give you a plug in splice, so everything still works... correct? I have had heated seats before, and they are something I really really miss. I have to go to the dealership today, I'm going to give them the part # and see how much they are.

Yes, High - Med- Low. I can feel them real well, have to turn them down after a while. I paid $270 shipped from http://www.stevewhiteparts.com/Home/...0&featureid=-1

I'm looking to get my rear seats heated, do you think this kit would fit in the rear seats. I have a quad cab.

Honestly for the money, I found some seat heaters that sit over the seat for $19.99ea at a local autoparts store. They plug into the cig lighter so i was going to install them, fish the wires through the carpet up behind the center console. Where I was going to wire them off of the cig lighter wiring behind the console and run them trough some switches. Probably cost about $60 installed. And I'd run male/female plugs in the wiring under the seat so I could take them out in the summer.
