Default Oil change question

So today, I got my first message saying that I need to change my oil. My service manual states that it needs to be changed every 12000 km, but my odometer is only at 5600km. Which one should I go by? the trucks computer or my service manual??

I would change the first one at 6000km,then all others like the service manual request.

Keep in mind your engine is breaking in.My personal opinion would be to perfrom more frequent oil changes during the break-in period.Being that your engine may produce more metal during this period, and your filter will catch it,but at the same time, the filter may loose flow characteristics due to the captured metal deposits.More frequent oil changes at this time just ensures you are relieving any metal deposits from your engine, before any damage can be done.Hope this helps!!!
