I think Dodge got a bad batch of chrome clad wheels and bumpers. Many people have the same problems we have with chrome.

One guy on this forum said that calling Customer Service is better then emailing them like I have in the past.

I still have about one and a half years of warranty. I am not going to drop the issue or go away.

I paid hard earned money for this truck and put the stripes and fiberglass running boards on myself. I take pride in this truck.

I guess I'm fortunate to have a great dealer, because they'd never jerk me around with anything like this. Any issues I've had with either of my trucks they've taken care of, no questions asked. Last week I noticed a weird blue spot on one of my heated rearview mirrors, so I called my service guy to just ask about it. He called me 3 days later and said my new mirror was in!

Sure, all trucks have problems, but I love my Ram and my dealer!

I even talked with two (2) other dealers the other day about the chrome issues and changing dealers..

One (1) didn't want to get in the middle and the other said give my dealer another chance.

Two (2) years on my Sport and still no issues with my rim covers having chrome issues. I use a chrome wheel cleaner on mine which gets that brownish stuff off. Maybe the brake pad dust is corroding the chrome?

( But I have had peeling chrome on my Mopar Steps.)
