Default Pictures of my new HID's

Installed them yesterday, for the most part went off without a hitch. I had originally ordered a set of 6000k HID's from HID Extra for the stock housings, but then I saw these on E-Bay and ordered them. I figured I would just return the kit from HID Extra, but when I started the project yesterday I realized the kit from E-Bay came with all kinds of wiring adapters (very helpful) but no flicker cancelers. The kit from HID Extra came with the cancelers but no adapter to plug into my truck's OEM harness! I ended up using the cancelers with the E-Bay kit and it worked great but I'm not real happy with the HID Extra kit since if I wanted to install these in my stock housings I'd have to cut and solder wires.

I'm also a little confused about the bulbs; both kits are supposed to be 6000k bulbs, but the exterior element (or whatever it is) on the E-Bay kit is blue, while the same element on the HID Extra kit is white. Does the color of this element signify anything? I'm wondering if the HID's in the E-Bay kit might not be 8000k by mistake.

Installed but turned off:

Those lights are a great compliment on your white truck.Looks cool!!!I think the shaded/tinted lights would be too much contrast.Good choice..

Thanks. I like the smoked lights, but this truck started out sorta "blingy" so I wanted to stick with lighter accessories. I also installed the clear LED 3rd brake light and the clear LED tails but I don't have any pictures of those yet, the truck is filthy... I just wish HID Extra would have sent me the correct plugs for their kit!

Unfortunately I think the stock lights were brighter... I'm hoping somebody can answer my questions about the color of the element on the bulbs because I'm not sure I didn't get the 8000k bulbs by mistake.

My suggestion to you would be to wait for the adapter you need from hidextra and then put in their kit and bulbs to see the difference between the two hid kits since i'm betting that the hidextra kit will be better than the ebay kit.
