Default Service 4WD Light

Took my 2011 1400 Sport 4x4 to the DMV and registered it this morning. As I was leaving the Service 4WD light came on (I was in 2WD). Drove across the street to the dealership and am waiting to hear back. The truck has less than 800 miles on it with about 100 of those in 4WD auto due to all the snow/ice we've had here in CO. Anyone else run into this? Any ideas on the cause?

Thanks. Dealer said it wasa software update. Fixed the Serv 4Wd light and got my puddle lights to turn off when they're supposed to. Whatever happened to simple door switches and t-case shifting?

HEMI5150 - Same resolution as the SVC4WD light - software update. Dealer told me they've had problems with them turning on on their own. I just couldn't get them to shut off without locking the truck using the key fob. Now if I could figure out why the truck acts like it wants to stall out when I come to a light or park the truck. Dealer told me it's the bad gas ... had to chuckle at that one

When you open/close the doors and the doors are NOT locked the 'puddle lights' stay on for 8 minutes. I'm not saying that is a good thing, but that's what they do. Did this re-program cause them to turn off sooner when the doors are not locked?

Mine didn't turn off. I checked the settings in the message center and adjusted the time down to 5 minutes. If I closed the doors, my puddle lights wouldn't turn off. After the "software update" they shut off within 10 seconds.

You can't change that in your info center settings? I thought I remembered seeing something in there for that. Maybe not though.

You can chang those settings which I did. They just didn't 'stick'. the software update seemed to have fixed that issue as well
