looking at a 09, need some info
Without the hemi, your in different truck than us. the hemi goes into 4cyl. mode to save gas.4.7 works harder to perform like a pickup. the hemi makes this truck. if I win powerball ill see about boring it to a 6.2 or whatever is in that charger hemi.
Oh yeah. Some one should tell you, 09 hemi has 16 spark plugs that get changed every 30000 mi. About $290 at dealership or 2 hrs in your driveway with socket extensions and those angle knuckles between extensions. And you should really use a torque wrench. I'm at 50000 mi. And still love it. It's been in shop once for axle seals they said needed replacing. I never saw any leaking.
Had a 07 dodge 1500 quad hemi 4x4 traded for a new 09 hemi 4x4 crew cab. Hated it. I didn't like the traction control. Loved the ride. My 07 pulled my 28 foot TT better. 09 got better gas mileage not pulling. 17-20 mpg on highway. Pulling TT it got about 8 mpg. It was a loaded Big horn with DVD and all. Dumped it for a "OLD SCHOOL" 06 dodge 2500 cummins. Not looking back one bit. I got $23,000 for it on trade. They are asking $25,900. I love dodge though just not the new stuff. My 2500 is getting 24-25 mpg Highway and 22 in town. Just my 2 cents.
Will I picked it up this morning. There was a little drama.
When I test drove it I noticed the front tires were cupped so I said I wanted them replaced. I also called the salesman to tell him I wanted to make sure they check which tires were cupped because I saw they they had rotated the tires and aligned it.
When I picked it up they put two new ones on but I noticed the back tires were cupped.
They refused to do anything (at this point I already paid, they had it off to the side so i didnt see it when I walked in). I was concerned about vibration the next time the tires were rotated. They agreed to move them to the front and the salesman tested it out and then I tried it. I only noticed it on fast turns. He said he didnt notice. I made them put them rotate the tires back again and left.
Prior to rotating the tires twice, I offered to pay for half of the cost. They said no. I said if there was an issue I was taking my truck back (not sure if could even do that).
It was at a high colume toyota dealership. I know it is a used truck and I should have caught it but they new about it and didn't say or do anything.
So....
Should they have done anything to correct the situation?

Don't worry mirrors fold in if need be. Make sure they have done all the updates. There is a list of them around this forum somewhere. The 09's have a problem with the HVAC actuator door gear assembly thingy. There is a mod out for that. If it has Bluetooth I think the uConnect button should offer setup steps. Since it's an 09 ask if the Lifetime drivetrain warranty is transferable? I think it was only the original owner. But it can't hurt to ask or negotiate it in if possible. And you'll love the Hemi. Good Luck.
