Default 09 Laramie won't start

Tried to start 09 Laramie this morning and it would not turn over. Clicking noise was only response. Checked the ground and it is fine. Now I can't even get the key out. Dealer is useless..wants me to have it towed in.

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Clicking noise, that could be a dead battery or bad altinater. Key not coming out make sure trany is in park.

What you describe is almost always a dead battery. Throw the charger on it for a while and then see if that resolves your issue. If it does then you have to determine whether the issue was a one-time thing like leaving something on or plugged in that drained the battery or if the battery is failing.

Had it towed in to dealer. Nothing was left on to drain battery. Still interested in why the key would not come out of ignition....def in park.

Used roadside assistance with Allstate for tow..would the warranty have covered the tow in to the dealer?

I went out to start my 09 laramie about 2 months ago and it would not start. If you put the key in the ignition you can not get it back out untill you have power to energize the battery.I jumped it off with my Jeep and the key came back out. If you hav the center shifter there is a small square on the lower right side of the shifter which you can take out and you can get the truck out of park. I did not try this which is in the manual because mine started. Went to the dealer they said the battery checked good but they changed it anyway. I have not had a problem since then.

update. truck is fixed and tech said battery was dead. Also fixed drivers seat rails that made a clicking noise. No explanation of why battery died, but he did mentioned a flash they did with to fix something with the radio? Nothing was left on in the vehicle that would have drained the battery, but I wonder if this flash was done to fix an issue with the radio that would have drained the battery. Just wondering.
