It dosen't matter how much you pay.I remember dealing with out of state techs, helping pay for moving expenses, starting them off at top dollar etc. having coffee and croissants waiting for them when they came. You still got left with hand prints on the vehicle, had to listen how unhappy the wife is and so. On top of that some are painfully slow.may be good but turn out jack. Plus the dealer lost his axxx on the whole deal. Its been a age old issue. A techs job is compared to coal mining in physical effort. A service writer/service manager is compared to a air traffic controller, cop, fireman etc. The jobs are not for the faint of heart plus they have to have some smarts and common sense. I'll say it again you need to try it for a week or so in a busy or dead slow dealer. In downtown Atlanta I hired 7 servicd advisors. This was in 1985 or so.Managers of Wendy's shoe stores and so. Babjy sat them for 4 months. They couldn't take the heat. Dropped off one at time. I ended up with ONEthat GOT IT. He'd lay out over a handnail but was good employee. Last I heard he was still in the business.
