Well I problably shouldn't of read this post cause I'm going to attempt to do my headlights this weekend if my HID kit comes in today or tomorrow. Lets just say I'm a little scared but I was more scared that I was going to over bake the headlight and lets just say after reading this now I'm scared of the whole process.

If anyone one here was successful please feel free to share the dos and don'ts.

So I actually bought QUAD HEADLIGHT on ebay for $30 so I can mod them. Its more of a practice sort of thing. I plan on removing the amber signal plate and painting it White with blue accents. I'm gonna try using a heat gun and work my way slowly.

I do have a question though. What kind of paint should I use? Should I use something like an engine enamel (due to the high temperature of HIDs)? Or am I good using you run of the mill paint?

Dodge RT - Thanks I've been reading a bunch and I think I'm gonna try heating it up at 215 for 12-15mins and go really slow some people were saying you have to bake them several times. So I'm hoping patience is key and I can get it done with out f'ing up my lights.

Der - I'm gonna try some krylon fusion for plastic paint and I read somewhere that if you take rubbing alcohol to the chrome it blackens it and gives it a black chrome look. I'm gonna try that first and if I like I mite leave it if not I'm gonna sand it with 1500 and paint satin black.
