quad headlight question

jac ya i baked mine like 5-6 times and its because the housing has a lip and its tough to get under it in fact it kinda messes up the housing it prys the lip up and looks like crap but thats the easy part lol its that glue after you get it apart the glue that is left is like concret but maybe the heat gun will work .Best of luck hope u make out better then i did keep us informed

Der yes the krylon fusion for plastic works great i painted the one i messed up cause the inside was fine 4 coats of the fusion and it looks sweet

any way this is how they look had to put the messed up one in so i could drive while waiting for new lights lol u dont want to see the back of them calk and tape

can i trouble you for a head on shot of that, want to see the full effect of the black outters and chrome reflectors going to do mine just not sure if i want that look or the full black look

well just finished mine today I'll post up some pics tomorrow.....what a pain in the a$$ man its time consuming.

dodgert - those lights in ur pics look good what exactly did you mess up?

I used the krylon at first but for some reason it kept pitting so I had to strip off the paint and sand the housing using 320 grit all the way to the black then etch primed then painted.

They lookgood, imperceptible damage. lol.

My quads should be here on monday. I probably wont be able to work on them until wednesday (because of School and work). Also, would any one have any instruction on retrofitting projectors on these lights? Like where do I buy the lens? Do i keep the stock configuration for the bulb entering the housing?

Oh does anyone know if they make a blue clear coat (aerosol can)? I gues kind of like night shades but blue. I want to tint the yello reflector blue and the chrome reflector blue. Its just an idea. if they make it, I'm doing it!

the housing where the light seats into the lens is all tore up and im sure wont seal right lol just had to put them in for a few days how did you get your glue off

I baked mine and I f''ed up the seal as well I put them on yesterday and when I came out this morning I had some water built up inside. So they are off again and I'm resealing them I used black rtv. What did you use to seal yours and do you have waster issues?
