Bad run of pumps from a vendor. Thats why there is hing called warranty. yes ts a pain but you know the old saying. Running fuel low dosen't create the issue. Thousands get run low on fuel every day. Oh. Other manufacturers go through the same thing. You can bet that big Red Flags are u-p about the issue and being worked on. Take a deep breath and this too shall pass.

Same thing happened to me, twice now to my 2012 Hemi Ram Sport 4x4. Went to the store on Monday, came out and the truck would not start. It just turned over and acted like it almost wanted to start but would never catch. After being towed in (myself included) one of the techs beat on the gas tank and it started right up. They found a fuel pump at a dealer in Tennessee and had my truck back to me by Wednesday night. Fast forward to today and as I was getting off the interstate it shuts off in the middle of heavy traffic as we are exiting. The two cars behind me almost wrecked trying to avoid me and I was luckily able to swerve off the road and coast down the shoulder to a parking lot. I beat the snot out of the tank with my fists and even gave it a few kicks. It started up one time after that but died within seconds. The truck has 1800 miles on it, I traded a perfect 2008 in on this one and I regret it EVERY day. I am starting to lose confidence in the Ram brand, I don't feel like I can depend on this truck at all. To make matters worse, my co-worker came and picked me up in his new Ecoboost joking about how he is happy he didn't take my advice on the Hemi. Not the best time to be joking around when a man's truck is down but whatever...will update once I hear something tomorrow.

Fully understand your concerns. Stalling on the road is a frightful experience. Thats why they have warranties. This issues with fuel pumps shall pass. You and your friend ought to read the Ecoboost forum. On top of the major issues the Ecoboost had an does have they are FAR more expensive.

Just my opinion, i`m seeing a trend here....

For the guys with failing fuel pumps, is your stealership replacing the fuel pump relay...?
And are they also checking the connection at the fuel pump fuse...?

I`ll just leave it at that.... lets see what stealership is doing their homework.

Default Same problem

We had the same problem pulled out the fuel pump and the springs fell off in the gas tank. Has anyone heard if they are doing a reimbursement. We bought a new fuel pump but what we found during the replacement is not fair to the buyer of the trucks specially when they obviously remade the part to a better standard. Looks the same but made with better quality!
Please help!
