Default highbeams are worthless, not happy

i've owned by truck since december, and just used the highbeams for the first time a week ago. they are dim yellow and are absolute ****. i am extremely unhappy and dissappointed. anyway to go to the dealership and complain? I mean the bulbs are worthless, my hid fog lights provided more light output than the high beams

I used mine last night for the first time and thought the same thing. My wife asked did you even turn them on?

dealership won't do anything for you.

Time for some offroad lights, or HIDs in the highs.

Rams have always had sh*t bulbs. I put aftermarket bulbs in my 2nd Gen within 3 months of buying it new off the lot and my 3rd Gen didn't see 500 miles on the odometer before I stuck some Silverstars in it.

I know a few 3rd Gen guys griped to the dealer but were all pretty much told that the factory bulbs were "within Chrysler specs"...

It just took you longer to figure it out than many others. I agree--their lights have been crap for years!

How do you like the Silverstars? I was thinking of doing the same thing but the life expectancy on the Silverstars was something like 1/4 of the stock? Have you had any issues with them burning out early?

Default High Beams

I guess to each his own. I like the high beams in the 4th gen they are way better than the 3rd gen. I guess it depends on what type of driving you are doing also! im rural on the freeway 90% of the time and they are great for that!

my 3rd gen was fine. these high beams are non existant. they are like when a flashlight battery is on its way out, barely any light, extremely dim yellow/orange light.

for the guy who asked about silverstar life, on my 3rd gen it was something like once a year, they definitely dont have much life to em, but I'll sacrifice that for some light output

Don't doubt anybody here but I am bewildered because the High Beams on my 4rth Gen *really* blaze the way, my 04 was the same as well. Both my 3rd and 4rth gen were Sport models so now I am wondering if something may be different with that?

Nope, still have the same ones I put on seven years ago, but I have the regular Silverstars, I know a lot of guys with the Ultras that only got like 2-3 years out of them...
