Like Phil said, dont be so one sided, an open minded person will see and hear alot more, & learn more often, than one that dosent.
Now lets get back on topic here....so where did the original poster go (???) Did he install that 180 stat...????

No I didn’t buy it, with all that I’ve read and been told I decided that stock is just fine. I didn’t mean to start such a heated debate. Thanks to all who replied.

Wise decision staying stock...! If it isnt broke, dont fix it, its usually the smartest AND less costly route that you can go.
You didnt start anything bud, this kind of crap goes on all the time on forums no matter where you go or type of forum.
Somebody is always faster and kewler as well as smarter in their own opinion everywhere on the forums.
Forums are usually just opinions, but dont get me wrong, ther IS some good stuff on them all.

Do you mean faster and kewler by belittling and calling someone "the tstat police", lol? The man was trying to share and he was absolutely correct...everything he said, it was a good post. And you are correct as well, and it's ironic...this kind of crap goes on all the time, lol!

I have had the 180 in my truck since it was new a year ago. Runs cooler, oil temps stay lower, the trans temp really stays a lot cooler. My truck is always runnin at 181 to 183 almost all the time here in Texas. Best and easiest mod there is. Heat distroys transmissions. Of course, this is just my opinion and what I decided to do on my truck. All temps are lower now.
