Dodge Recall K36 (2011 1500's)
REAR AXLE FLUID DRAIN-BACK FLOW RESTRICTOR
Did anyone get this done? Just did a search based on my VIN and even though I just picked it up from the dealership on Saturday, it was listed as incomplete!
Also, is there a way to search RRT's and see if they apply to your Yr Model?
Thanks

since your year is the first without a drain plug on the rear differential cover they machinced the fill plugs too low so in an earlier RRT they had you adding an extra 20oz of gear lube filled through the vent tube. now they came out with a recall with a new differential cover with a fill plug on it, and also having a pinion flow restrictor installed

Someone said that I can pull up a build sheet(?) and some other paperwork? Any ideas as to what paperwork I should ask them for? I went to the owner's part of dodge.com and the only service history listed was at 4500 miles for an oil change and to add accessories(executive demo).
So, build sheet and service history is what I ask for? And what else? RRT list (if that's even a reat thing)?
In light of recent events you might want to have them check that pinion nut people seem to be having trouble with. Or maybe this recall is just a ruse to get people to bring their trucks so they can check it before the rear end fails.
Had to wonder myself why I had to have my diff oil changed out so early. I was getting emails telling me to come in for that every few days. Now almost a year later no emails for the diff oil changes? What do ya know.
