I agree, it's a phone issue, not UConnect.

I have a samsung epic and the bluetooth only works about half the time...no other issues with the phone. It will drop the phone all togather...lock up the radio for up to 5 minutes before the radio will do anything. My truck is a 2011 so the software should be pretty new.

I had an old BB curve that would act strange with my truck. I have since paired an iPhone 4, EVO HTC and a cheap Sanyo flip phone. All three work flawlessly.

On the Epic, what Android version is it? h
HAve you updated it to the Android 2.1? The Android 2.1 was working well and I had not issues with mine (my wifes) untill updating to the Android 2.2 and now the phone book does not download.
Have you tried to do a reset by removing the battery for about a minute or so then putting it back in. Also I have seen a phone do some strange things if you have a lot of stored txt messages and conversations in it. If you do, try deleting them and see if this works.
Also what is your DOM? If it's prior to April 18, 2011 you'll want to get the Uconnect SW update done.

Never have had an issue with the uConnect on my 08. I currently have my EVO 4G paired with my 08 Ram and 09 Caliber with no issues.
