Has anyone found a fix for connection issues between the Iphone 4 and Uconnect?

What issues are you having mine seems to work fine?

 

It's random at times. It pairs fine. However if I initiate a call, it connects than automatically disconnects and terminates the connection to Uconnect. But it will take a call if someone calls the phone.

 

same happens to me when I stream radiostations from phone through uconnect. Streams fine but during and also afterwards it wont let me dial out, it dials and then says it cant dial out...Simply switching the phone off and on rectifies the problem..

 

Well typical situation when companies run proprietory software and firmware in their product. Until I think 2009 you can not even use an I phone on and RER since it does not have the Apple chip. Now I am not sure if that is for Bluetooth or just for using the Ipod cable that you can buy to plug in your ipod, or phone for playing music only. All digital music for small players should be a standard form such as MP3 to save a lot of headache and all cell phones should have the same bluetooth as all radios etc that you may hook up to. But nope everyone has to have their own BS to make life difficult and because it's cool everyone jumps on it. See how fast the IPad went LOL not even a year and Ipad 2 is out that would **** me off if I spent what? 700 for the first one!

 

Upgrade to an Android phone.

Most all music players are MP3 except for Apple which tries to lock everything to one device. I think it ridiculous that until just recently, it was locked to one computer for music. If you hooked it to another pc, it would erase all of your stuff. I like my Ipod touch and all, but would never have an iPhone. Only Android and I must say that my Sprint EVO has been flawless for over 1.5 years and never a Uconnect issue in either Dodge.

 

You have 2 choices here
1) you can go to the dealer and have them do the Uconnect update for TSB 08-036-11
or you can

I have had the help of mrjeep to post the update on a hosting site where you can download it to a flash drive (or a thumb drive) and then follow the posted instructions on reply #25. This update will work on several other phone re;ated issues as well as the iPhone / iPod issues.
Also after you verify what SW level that you have in your vehicle (43.1.10 will work with this update, if you see that you have 43.1.30, hang tight a few and I will have an updae for mrjeep to post also. I am having a couple people test it for me before posting it)

- Revision B NOTE: The previous RER 2.402 CD update had a bad part number on the disc that was causing the REP WK updates to fail. This issue has been fixed on this new revision B CD Image. Although changes have been made there is no version change to this update. - If you have sucessfully installed RER 2.402 update there is no need to reinstall it since the only change is the CD part number.
