Default Ram Tires

i have a 2011 Ram 1500 SLT and i use it to snow plow, i already installed a 2.5" leveling kit and a timbren kit on the front end to give me some clearance between the plow frame and road but i still occasionally scrape the plow frame on the road when i hit a bump or try to plow a driveway that has a hill to it. i only need about 2" of clearance and i should be good. i was thinking of putting on nitto terra grappler tires the biggest i can find (325/70R17) and hopefully that will do the trick. my question is do u think this will get the job done and also is that in fact the highest sidewall tire i can put on my stock dodge 17" rims? if anyone knows of a taller tire i can put on my stock rim please let me know, thanks guys.

lotta money to invest to plow, must be making some good money. but anyways, throwing on bigger tires, I dont know much on the 1500's but that seems like an awful lot of tire for just 2.3" of lift in the front. I honestly dont know if those will fit, but someone with a 1500 will tell you. I've got a 2500 leveled and my 34's (actually measure 33 and some change) rubbed the inner fender until i ran a screw to pull it back. But I'm not sure how much height you will actually gain off throwing some bigger tires on there?

If you're going to go through the trouble of adding taller tires why not just get bigger rims and bigger tires?

I have 2.5" lift up front. I am running 35"s, they don't rub at all. Those might me a little wide though. I have the BFG A/T. I love them and they might be a little better in the snow than the Nitto's. I know the BFGs are a very popular tire and come in pretty much any size. 315/70R17 in the BFGs are about 34.5", and a tad bit narrower than the Nittos. Another option is to go with 20s. Can get the same height with the 285/65R20, (34.7" tall) and have them about 1/2" narrower. Those are the size I have, and no rubbing.....but plan on throwing big bucks down for that combo.
