anyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Multipurpose Grease, NGLI Grade 2 EP or better is pretty much the same thing as MOPAR Multi Lube.
.....anyhow, i`m done with this pizzin contest, might even just forget this site even exists, and cancel my membership.
I`ve never seen a forum with so many people just waitin to jump down your throat for such small petty reasons....!!!
I`m a member on several other mopar sites, and i`ve never seen people act like they do in here, on any other site.

If you are doing this every oil change then I would say pretty much any grease would be suffice. What is the deal with people needing to use dealer parts? Do they just like to spend their money. Dealer wants over 20 bucks for a mopar cheap looking air filter for these trucks....they are big....but anyway I can buy a Fram version or another decent brand for 12 bucks, and the cabin filter mod I did wow I should have taken a pic but it was very dirty I believe it was only 6 months. Got a half price Napa Gold High line one which has charcoal in it, not just a paper one like the dealer.
ON a side not, Old Jeep has a lot of very spot on intelligent info, look he even provided it here. All you did was ask and you received. No need to get your driveshaft in a wad.

i spent 34,000 on my truck, im not gonna have them screw me should anything ever happen, so if possible, i'll use to the mopar grease.
why? I will post a thread in the anything goes forum to really explain my reasoning. but heres a short summary, and please dont throw any two cents in afterwards of I should go to court, I should be upset, I should write a letter. I got %&$@ed. HARD
had a 71 chevy nova. put a brand new engine in, engine was purchased at local chevy dealer literally within walking distance of my house. the chevy dealer my father had bought every truck he had ever owned, and his corvette. To keep the warranty it had to be professionally installed. So i paid and helped out with the install at a local well known performance shop. engine blew up third day of having it. long story and consumer affairs, local gm rep, east coast gm rep. they took picture of where I ripped my stereo out (broke down on a backroad, so I took the stereo out) and blamed it on me. I'm not leaving much out there. seriously. the car was then left in pieces at the chevy dealership where they then hit me with a thousand dollar bill, and had me come pick the car and engine and tranny and everything else up in pieces.
we now drive dodges, and will never do business with GM again.
this is why I use the recommended ish for everything. they will not $%^& me again.

You dont need lithium grease, you need lithium complex grease. HUGE difference, lithium complex (or lithium base) grease is available at any parts store in grease gun cartridges.
The grease fitting on the double cardan joint (closest to the transfer case) isnt a standard zerk fitting.
You need a needle like this to grease it. I have one, its a huge pain in the... Lift one tire off the ground so you can turn the shaft.
