4x4 3.92 rear
The RAM can come with two or more Axel ratios. Just NOT on a 4x4 with lets say a 3.92 in the rear and a 3.55 in the front. They have to be the same front and back on each truck. Its like they can't come with 20 inch tires on one side and 15 inch on the other. I think you misunderstood someone.
RAMs were offered with 3 ratios, 3:55, 3:73 and 3:92. You chose one which matched both the front and rear in a 4x4. I believe you are being far too literal.
The front housing is likely only big enough to fit a 3:92 while the rear can fit a 4:10. That said, the front a rear need to match which leaves you with the ability to only go so low as a 3:92.

I went back to the dealer and argued about what I have read all over the web about the impossibility of having 2 different axle ratios on a 4x4 truck, finally and after many phone calls, they came back to me saying that they ordered 4:10.1 for both axles...I was soooo surprised as I was told that it was impossible to have this ratio in the front axle!!! Weird, and I really wish I was a mechanic sometimes

I have the same setup and find that engine rpm's are actually quite leisurely on the highway; around 1600 at the legal limit of 60-65mph.
Others have stated that city mileage is actually better with this gearset than the 3.55's.
If anything, do a search on this forum for the many owners wanting to change to the 3.92's with the LSD. I doubt that I've ever seen anyone wanting to go the other way.
And trust me, it is WAY cheaper to do this oem compared to fiddling around buying new gear sets and finding someone to install them properly.
BTW, my mileage with the 3.92's is about 24 at 60mph and 22 at 70mph.

I am not ordering a Ram Houndog, the RAM is mine and it still has 0 miles on the trip meter, I'm just ordering the parts from the US so that I have a great truck ready with the first snow flakes
It's a 2011 Ram 1500 Quad Cab SLT 4x4 HEMI 5.7, 5speed Auto transmission and 17" rims.
I was told that my front diff was a Chrysler 9.25" & @ the rear I had a Chrysler 10.50". I did some research and found out that the Chrysler 10.50" had 14 bolts, while mine has 12 bolts that I counted....Weird!!! Can't I type my vin number somewhere and have the list of equipment popping out?

I have a 2011 with the 3.92 and anti slip with 3200 miles on it now. I just got 20mpg average on a 1000 mile trip all interstate averaging 75 MPH.
Around town with hilly country driving I get a solid 17.5.

Prior to my lift/tires my 2011 CC Sport 4x4 (3:55, 5.7L) never got above 19 mpg (US) on the highway so I suspect some of these numbers. Longhand calculation should be used as the EVIC mileage is not accurate although I think some folks may be using that as the gospel.
