Which H.I.D Kit?
Im looking at various HID kits for my 2010 ram (quad headlamps). I would also like to do the fogs. I've read through the forums, but I wanted to see what people reccomend? Im looking for something thats plug and play, with a factory weather tight seal. 6000k.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Take a look at my thread above...in the thread there are just pics of the headlights, then scroll down and there are some night pics. I do have projectors in my lights....but you can still see the lights. These lights are retro-solutions 55w bulbs w/ 6,000k temp... And same in my fogs.... Hope this thread helps bud...

DDM Tuning is the best I have ever used. Used them for years. then came on this forum, and saw HIDextra was a sponsor, so I figured I would support "our sponsor". what a mistake. Have had nothing but problems with 3 of their kits. their customer support is "mail the part to us, wait for us to test it, then we will send you a new one". they are the worst company I have ever dealt with in regards to lighting.
not to mention hidextra 5k= blue, ddm tuning 5k= crystal white
when I want crystal white 5ks, I want white, not ricer blue.
HIDextra is total crap.
ddm tuning is hands down the best plug and play instant no problem kits I have ever dealt with, on cars, trucks, bikes. I will never use anyone but DDM again.
go with the ddm slim ballasts, you wont regret it
btw, you will have to drill out the back of the headlight, its like a 3" round circle that unscrews from the back. all of the stock headlight wires are internal, so when you attach the ballast, it will remaind outside the housing and will require a whole to fit the connectors through. but ddm has the gromet to fit right in and fill the hole. then silicone it and your good to go! may sound complicated, but just patience and doin it right the first time will save you! hit me up if you have any questions

I have only had 3 kits with them Highs/Lows/Fogs. But other then the color I have never had an issue with them *knocks on wood*
Mine did come with that grommet too.
So I have a couple questions. I have the dual headlight set up as apposed to the quad setup. I bought a kit from retro-solutions close to 2 years ago and I never got it to work. On that kit, I needed capacitors because the voltage to the headlights pulses instead of being a steady voltage like most other vehicles. Did your kits come with this? Are the caps old news and replaced by something else? What is the error eliminator listed on their site? I couldn't find any info on this. Do our kits require this? For those of you with the 55w kits, did you get the wiring harness? Does anyone have this kit installed on a dual headlight setup? Thanks guys. From the comments I'm seeing about this company, I'm sure they will work, I just want to make sure I'm ordering what I need.

Ok so when you say dodge has made things right now, are you talking about in your 2011 rig? I have an 09 so will I still have an issue? Were the caps installed by someone else or did you talk to DDM about the kit when you bought it? I'd rather not have a light on my dash if I don't have to.
