Default Project Paint Match (Pics)

Here are some pics of my painted antenna base. I was tired of looking at the faded looking plastic.

It's really easy to do if you have a few hours to do it...I will be doing my tailgate latch as soon as time permits!

I started off by wet sanding down w/ 400 grit, worked up to 600 then 800 grit to get a smooth appearance...I put 4 coats of Mopar Austin Tan Pearl Coat touch up paint (spray can, $13ish at dealer) and some Mopar Clear Coat, and a new spare antenna base .96 cents....Then I finished it up w/ a little bit of "Fukken Wax"

After a wet sanding them (I ended up sanding down more for a smoother finish)

After (Sry I installed it tonight and it gets dark so early now...so I'll take a pic of it tomorrow or sometime next week).

I'm a valvoline kinda guy! I used to run AMSOIL a lot in my jetski and four wheeler b/c that thing was WOT pretty much all the time and loved it, but always like running valvoline in my trucks!

Excellent choice..! I replaced mine with valvoline, it cut down alot of the whining back there.
