Nate so there not working! I have to do some trouble shooting once it warms up a bit...I started getting to cold since it was 15degrees out yesterday. I plugged them in and when I first turned them on they flickered really quick then shut right off.. If I unplugged one and monkeyed w/ the wires one would come on. It was odd...I'll keep you posted. Your an electrician so any tips?!?

First off, its -20 celcius here, so don't give me that whole cold thing :P HAHA

mmmmhmmmm...Connectors are the EXACT same size? Could be the contacts are not touching properly, or polarity too :S

If both are connected and if you monkeyed around with them neither comes on? Its weird that it would only work with one connected.

At first I thought it might be a resistive thing through the computer, which it still might be...BUT because the one came on I am willing to bet that its not the case. But just out of curiosity, I don't know if its going to be possible with the connectors. Try and make jumpers from the factory plug to BOTH The regular bulbs and the HIDS. You are not going to damage any circuits, but if they work then were going to have to find the exact resistance of those bulbs and put a resistor in...

Thats a negative ghost rider! haha, still trying...I hadn't worked on them in a couple days bc it was my only few days off work and I had to get my 1" rear spacers put in, but next week towards the evening time I will have some free time to try and get them working.

Also I found another company/site that says they will work in cargo lights (the kits look identical...) so I wonder if it's a screw up on my end or not..plus it's cheaper by $30, I'll post the link below. I am electrically stupid so I'll keep testing and see if I can figure this out by next week!

Here's that link...

If your going to "mess around" like I think your going to mess around. Take and replace the existing fuse that runs that light with a smaller one. I imagine it twill be a 10amp, but replace it with just a 5 for the time that your messing around. That way you know that your going to be protected from anything. I know it probably wont matter too much, but polarity switching could be harmful on the ECU

Nate.. Im outside tinkering with the HID Cargo lights right now. Okay so now when i plug one in and leave the LED in the other the HID stays on, the second I plug the second HID in poof they flash n go out at the same time then will not come back on. So if i get in the truck m turn the ignition to on then back off they will flash again then shut down.... Btw its a beautiful 41 degrees down here :-)

Electricity is a hard thing to understand, can't see the problems like plummer for example can can when they have a leak in a pipe.

Your saying that you have LEDs in there now? Is there a way you can rig a system and have both the LEDS and HIDs on at the same time? im willing to bet its a resistance thing. But LEDs don't really help that case.

Well im lucky someones having good weather :P Ive been up in Fort Mcmurray Alberta for just about two weeks on the sands. With the wind chill it was probably close to -30 celcius...

I don't want to say it draws too much power, because they would not shut off then, it would blow a fuse if it was drawing too much...
