Yes another HID Quesstion
Honestly from what I keep reading it seems as if each kit from each company is different on every truck. HIDExtra, some need cancellors some don't. Retro Solutions trip the TIPM for 4-5seconds upon start up in some trucks and in mine I get no TIPM signal on my dash...
My personal experience w/ DDM, I ordered from them, said 5-7 day's to get here, well it took them 5-7days to get my order then I received them almost 3 weeks later, they shipped from China. Then I got them and the bulb was snapped at the base (look like someone tried using super glue to fix it, I even have pictures of this). I contacted them to send me another, after I PAID to ship the whole kit back they would process and ship me another kit which would be another 2-3 weeks. I said screw it and they are sitting on my bench now.
I originally ordered the DDM's for my reverse lights, but then opted to go w/ HighPerformanceBulbs.com for my reverse lights and they ROCK!

not gonna lie to you, something happened with that company recently. I dont know what, but suddenly orders are taking longer than ever before, and alot of the hids are coming in right from china.
They use to take about a week to get to you, and well, never said anything about china before, even though I'm sure most of all companies kits are made their.
My kit was entire plug and play. Infact I would even leave the play out. Plugged em in, securely attached em, good to go. I even ordered the cancellors but didnt need to use them, so they are sitting in my garage in case.
another thing I hated about HIDextra was there 5k was advertised as crystal white and was ricer blue. I personally cant stand that. DDMs are much whiter, and even offer a 4500k now.
do you still have the part number to the reverse light bulb kit that you bought from HighPerformanceBulbs dot com...?
Thanks budd

wrong answer...there not really that blue that picture is taken from my camera phone. They are not that blue in real life. Here's a better view of how they look...I was using my flash on my phone that prob. attributed to the color.

i went to the site the other day and i saw that exact kit and figured that was the kit you bought, but i wanted to ask you for sure. I believe the cargo lights in these trucks are also the same bulbs as the reverse lights, so i`m thinkin about buying 2 of those HID kits and do both the reverse lights AND my cargo lights. The 3rd brakelight bulb is a 921 also, maybe i`ll change that out too to HID...lol. I bet people behind me will definatly see my brake lights then huhhhh....hehehehehe. I did notice that this kit is 6000K, thats GREAT, i wouldnt want any higher "K" number. Anything over 6000K starts to go ricer blue.
Thanks buddie....keep up the mods bro...your truck is awesome...!!!
Thanks for the compliment!
The cargo lights are 921, thats why I bought another kit
! Just waiting for it to get here!!
I wouldn't put it in the brake light due to the time it'll take for them to warm up, it won't be worth it. I'm putting in an inline switch when I get some time into my reverse lights so when that lowered rice burner behind me is tailgating in this horrendous NYC/NJ traffic I'll just flip it on

Yes I think it would be exactly what you are saying for the brake light. To add to that, your NOT going to want that anyways. HIDs need time to warm up and cool off if you don't already know. To have your brake light coming on and off like crazy your going to smoke your bulb in a heck of a hurry. Just stay LED with those IF you even want to mod that light!
