^ x2 I orderd mine for 145 bucks , put it in myself and works as described in first post. Than dealer activated it to my evic. If you don't have evic it still works just fine.. You will need to order the bazzel as well.

Just got my 2011 Big Horn about 3 weeks ago traded in my 09. My dealer told me they would order me one and install it. I work in Africa so my wife took the truck in to have it installed and they told her it wouldnt work because It was missing a plug. Also that there's nothing that could be done. If the cant be added would the brake still work if I still I still installed it? Just trying to keep a clean factory look.

Some trucks dont have both plugs, if yours doesnt then it wont be just a plug in deal. If you search around someone did do it by adding his own plug for the CAN connector. The factory controller wont work with just the one plug.

I would make absolutely sure the other plug isnt there first, the second plug on my old 2010 was taped up to the harness pretty high up there and it wasnt easy to get to but it was there. If the dealer has done it before then they should know where to find it but you never know.

Dealer is stupid! Like most, all they have to do is wire one in like said above.. One
way to confirm if you have the plugs with out looking is - if you have the second 7pin trailer connector and towing package than 100% you have both!

Thanks, I got 3 more week of work and I'll be home. I'll have to get under there and take a look. I'll post back what I find.

Default Brake Controller

I just got my controller in that I ordered from Mopar Parts @ $108.00 plus shipping. I also ordered and recieved the bezzel.
I can't wait to install it this weekend and check it out.
I guess I'll have to take this to another dealer across town to have it added to the VIN since the local dealer said they couldn't order it???
I'll let you know if it works as advertised.

Default New Owner needs help

I have just purchase my first truck, 2012 RAM SXT, QUAD CAB, 4X4. I purchased the trailer package and I'm looking to add a Mopar electric brake control. My truck (confirmed by the dealer yesterday) only has one grey connector under the dash and I'm being told that I can't add the Mopar p/n 68146918AA because I don't have the second connector. I was originally told that I can't add an aftermarket controller but still managed to find a connecting pigtail p/n 68949133AA. Seems that some truck now have only one connector? Does anyone have experience with this?
