Default Horn..wipers..turn signals..high beams..NOTHING!

So I get in my truck this morning...and I have no wipers, horn, turn signals (but my hazards worked, odd), no high beams, no brake lights, no power inverter, can't turn traction control on or off, and no control over the EVIC (temp work, mte works, but I can't use any scroll functions), radio works fine, and all in cab lights work fine and headlight low beam and fogs work just fine.

I pulled all fuses in the fuse box above the TIPM and all looked good, no corrosion or any sights of water intrusion. I disconnected the batt for 45 mins to see if that'd help, still nothing. Truck is running just as it did before all these issues, so no issues on that end, just electrically I'm having issues. It's scheduled to go to the dealer tomorrow when I get out of work, does anyone think a computer "reflash" will solve this issue or did the TIPM prob. just crap itself?

I've read a few post's that the 4th gen TIPM's are known to go out...hoping this is not the issue here. Anyone w/ insight would be great! Thanks guys.

I just looked thru the TIPM connectors and functions looking for a common connector to your issues and they all use different connectors from the TIPM. I did not find where the EVIC has anything to do with the TIPM but on C7, the CAN buses are connected to the TIPM. I have worked with Flash memory and usually it doesn't just "corrupt itself" but I've seen it happen when reflashing fixed things. Probably the TIPM is on it's way out. I don't know if I can get the TIPM connectors on here but I'll try. First one is C7, second C4 and C3. Well, the pictures did not paste properly- sorry.

Pedro thanks! If it is the TIPM, it should still be covered under warranty, I'm hoping and I hope they can say it's the TIPM before anything else fails.

Try unhooking the battery for 10 minutes. My truck did something similar once, I had no gauges, radio wouldn't come on, no power windows, etc.. Had to reboot the data bus system. Everything worked fine after that! Might not help you but it's easy to try!

I don't mean to freak you out or anything, but I seem to remember reading a horror story involving a 4th gen ram and a blown TIPM being blamed on HID's, and warranty being declined because of them. I'm not sure what the specifics were in that case, but I really hope they don't try to throw the same bs at you.

That'd be bad since I am running HID's...hoping they don't try and pull that against me. I'll keep y'all posted w/ what the dealer says. Who know's hopefully a Computer reflash solves this completely. But thanks for the insight!

I don't know if these new RAMs have an FCM (Forward Control Module) like my 2006 Dakota had but I had a somewhat similar issue when my FCM on my 06 Dakota crapped out. The FCM communicates with all of the various modules throughout the vehicle so when mine took a dump I pretty much could just drive and listen to the radio much like you. I can't find anything about an FCM being in our trucks but I'm guessing it's gotta be something equivalent to that.

Put your stock halogens back in before you to the warranty police.
