Easy. www.amsoil.com Join the preferred club they offer. Then the prices are not hard to swallow. Big Brown delivers to my door usually in 24 hours. I just ordered some 15w40 Marine/Diesel oil about 1PM today and just got a confirmation e/mail that it ship from a Virginia whse. Been buying spray grease,lubes,wiper blades ,oil filters,oil for years on line. I hate going to stores and such.

Yup the PCM calculates oil life based on several inputs. Run time, mileage, throttle position, coolant temp, air temp, the list goes on... Your truck pretty much knows if you're running it hard or not, which is important on the cummins. And because its that time of year... lots of idleling= shorter oil change interval.

In addition, the PCM precisely controls fuel injector pulses and ignition spark timing for peak engine power and efficiency by using electronic sensor input from the engine, transmission and exhaust system. Please also keep in mind to follow and not exceed the maintenance schedule intervals.

I started doing 10,000 mile oil change intervals on all my gasoline engine vehicles (using Mobil1 Synthetic) after my 98 Corvette with it's LS1 used that as it's baseline on when to change oil. I've never had any issues with oil useage in any of my vehicles and my sports cars I do drive hard
