Default Gear ratio label?

Looking at 4th gen trucks, but I don't know where to look to find out what the gear ratio is, I've looked on the window stickers with no luck, is it labeled somewhere on the truck?

There are a few options when doing this. 1: look at the glove box sticker 2: Look on the axle, there should be a stamp somewhere 3: send the VIN in for a build sheet

This is a major bitch i have with Dodge. So we're suposed to go to the dealer when we trade and crawl under the truck looking for a sticker? Or walk thru the lot sending emails to Chrysler, wait p o 3 hrs for a build sheet? At least 2012 1500 does not have the ratio on the window sheet unless its special order. The stamdard gear, 2 wheel drive is 3,55 and is not on window sticker. Stinks!

If it's not on the sticker on the window then it is 3.55 like it said. Mine has the 3.92 axle and it stated it on the window sticker as an option. Look in the glove box like the other guy said and save yourself the headache!

Put the VIN number in the link below for an instant build sheet. Just get the VIN on the dash.

It works for any make.

or when your at the dealer...ask the salesman to type it into the computer and it'll show you what gearing it has. (if the salesman has any clue he can do it in about a minute)

I just this min. walked out and looked in BOTH glove boxes of my 2012. Not only is the gear ratio NOT there there isn't even a sticker in EITHER glove box!!
There is NO sticker on the axel housing EITHER side, The salesman or ANYONE at the Dealership (New Smyrna Dodge) knew how to find out what the ratio was. I sent in to Dodge with vin # but it wasn't instantly that I got it back, it took close to 3 hrs. The salesman and dealership didn't even know this was possible.
My point, did the factory even know? OIf so why is it such a mystery? Walk on a Ford dealership and EVERY F-150 has the ratio on the window sticker, Dodge does not. Would it be that hard to do? I never owned a Dodge, knew absolutely nothing about them. Is it asking too much for a dealership to be able to tell you the gear ratio, and be right?? I live in Edgewater and anyone wants to show me in my glove box the ratio,I'll give you $50!!
