Default Leaking Washer Fluid Sensor

Spotted a bad leak under my truck yesterday. It is coming from the washer fluid tank. I pulled the grille and the tank, leak is from the grommet that seals the sensor. RRT 09-010 was performed on March 18, 2009. What's up with these dang tanks leaking and is there another fix in the works? Another tread mentioned RRT 09-045, but I don't have any info and that one. Any help appreciated. Truck is 09 Sport 1500, build date 8-08.

Dealer says that items repaired under RRTs are covered for 12 months. Since my "repair" has exceeded that, they can't help me. They will sell me the part for $12.96. If it is the same poor design/materials, I guess that I get to do this every 3 years, LOL.

Good and Bad news. The leak was actually the pump motor leaking at a vent or weep hole. It is on the back of the motor and was seeping onto the grommet. I guess a diaphragm or something failed in the pump assembly. Either way, appears to be fixed. Sad that a pump would only last 3 years, be looking for this problem if you see a leak of washer fluid.

I replaced the pump with another OEM. The first one that came on the truck was a VDO and the new one is from CZ and a different brand. The universal pumps at auto parts stores would not work, at all. List was $63 for the pump and $12 for the grommet. It appears to be fixed. I have the lifetime power train warranty, but the factory warranty ran out at 36K and I have 38K miles. I could have pressed the dealer to contact Mopar and get it covered, but I would have had to put it all back together for them to take apart so I simply did it myself.
