Default How to know when MDS is on?

Is there a way to know for sure when your MDS comes on?

As far as indicators go, no. There's the ECO display but it simply means you are driving in a fuel efficient manner and may or may not be in 4 cylinder mode. V6 trucks have the ECO display as well.

You feel it, as a slight vibration, when you go to four cylinders. It just doesn't run as smoothly. Give it a little gas, and you can feel the smoothness, as the eight kick back in. It's almost seamless when it switches, but it can be felt.

Rpm drop? Read that before. I never see any RPM drop. I can feel and hear mine every second that it kicks in and out of MDS. But no rpm drop. Now when the torque converter locks or unlocks yes its a 300/400 maybe rpm up or down nut not MDS. When mine is in ECO its always in 4 banger mode.

Mine was seamless until the Magnaflow muffler. Then once I got tuned into the exhasut sound I can tell when it is or isn't at any speed. I play with mine sometimes to see how slow I can hold it and how slow or fast and such.

Yea, there are alot of posts on after market exhausts and a noticible sound difference from 8 to 4. It is my understanding when in MDS mode they sound horrible, that is why I never upgraded.
