I still had about 50% thread on my GY HP's when I swapped for BF AT's. That was around 24k miles clocked, however the GY HP's just were never a reliable tire in rain or winter conditions.

You can only hope that would be close to true, BUT, i`ve always gotten better wear & miles out of my tires everytime i choose the higher treadwear factor labeled on the tire label. This is why everyone is complaining about the goodyear HP, the treadwear (like i`ve said earlier) on the HP is 340, and dont last much past 30,000 miles. I`ve owned many different tires of the same size and type of style, with the treadwear rating of 580 (or higher) and last for 60,000+ miles. So i gotta go with my gut feeling that the bigger the treadwear rating number is, the longer the tire is going to last as far as mile`s are concerned.

Just my opinion, goodyear HP tires are JUNK...!

Have 41K miles on my 09's 4x2 CC orginial 20" HP's. Pretty happy with the wear, since I make frequent trips to the local drag strip. No increase in road noise and still have enough meat on the treads to pass inspection.

The HPs I had were well over 30000 so it seems you either had a bad set or other factors. I had no complaints other than poor traction on snow.

38,000 on my Goodyears 20s. Appears to be 50% or so left. No noise. Rides great. If any of you all 'hate' yours and if real low mileage I'd buy them at a decent price. I have no negatives about them. I don't drive bust butt the rain. They are ok wet.
