Another leveling vibration issue...
So I installed the Bilstein 5100 leveling struts and rear shocks on my 11 ST crew cab 4x4 yesterday and I have noticed a vibration while accelerating in 4x4 on pavement. My truck is going to get a wheel alignment later today, so hopefully that solves my problem. If not, what other options do I have to try and iliminate this vibration?
I've read a lot online about people having vibration problems in 4x4 after installing a leveling kit on the 4th gen rams. I rarely use the 4x4 on my truck but I stuck it in 4x4 this morning to see if I have the issue and I do.
Well you have the vibrations due to the excess angle on your CV joints...if you don't want the vibrations take them off.
Don't put your truck in 4x4 on dry pavement...
I have my truck w/ the bilsteins and if I use it on a dirt road I can't tell if I have the vibes...I put it in 4x4 on wet grass before and found out I had the vibes.

JayMan did the high angle cv's on his truck and I believe he still had this issue... If he see's this thread I'm sure he'll jump in..

Yeah I've been reading on forums about people purchasing the high angle cv joints and the joints not changing anything. I believe I will be calling Bilstein tomorrow about returning the full set and then removing them from my truck this weekend.
Leave it stock, you`ll have no problems.
if you knew about these vibrations and were so concerned about them why did you bother installing them?!? did bilstein say they'd take them back? i'd be suprised if they do since you installed them...they have lifetime warranty but I don't know about returning them bc you "dont like them"....did you keep your old struts and get them off without ruining the strut rod? I ****ed up my strut rod pretty bad on my driver side when doing mine.
