Default Sticky dash on '09

Ever since I bought my Ram, the dash has had a sticky feel to it. At first I thought it may have been something that would go away but it never did. I kept thinking I should ask the dealer about it but never did. Well, today I had the windshield replaced and the guy doing the installation mentioned it. I really don't want the dealer taking the dash apart but i am curious if anyone else has the same issue.

Yes! My 12 has a sticky dash, and models I test drove did too. I wonder if there was a plastic protector over it when shipped and the glue on the plastic stuck to the dash.

I am sure soap and water will not remove it. I have not tried it yet, but WD40 takes about every glue off. The smell is far from new car smell though so until the new smell leaves I'm not touching the dash.

I have a 2009 and I remember my dash being sticky when new. Now it is not sticky anymore, probably after repeated cleanings. It is probably like that after the manufacturing process and lessens as it cures. Best guess.

Default Sticky Dashboard

I have a 2013 Ram Quad Cab. For the first several months, the dash was perfect. Never cleaned it with anything other than a damp chamois when I dry the truck. Until now...summer...sitting in the sun with the windows up. I noticed for the first time that the dash is incredibly sticky. It is so sticky that the your hand will get sticky by touching it. I see that others have had this issue. Is there a cure? I don't want to have to use any product on it unless I have to. I had that slimy wet greasy dash look.
Any suggestions?

Mine is finally not sticky but it took about 4 years. I always suspected that the material didn't cure correctly after manufacturing. I tried cleaning it with everything imaginable but nothing worked. Wiping it with a linty cloth just made it worse as the lint stuck to it. You probably have to wait it out.
