OK. They are there to do just that. Thats how most business works. Maybe another service writer there can do the same thing as the Florida one did.
But they both are suppose to maximise every ticket withen reason. Warranty and customer pay. Its how shops pay the bills. Glad its repaired with out much fanfare.

The dealership here in the Springs isn't near as customer friendly as my original one in Florida was. They just look eager to take as much money from you as possible while smiling and acting like they care.

Glad to hear the issue has been resolved.

Can you answer my question on tierods, vin last are 9s742177, no recall shows but I do travel to snow every winter for hunting and vacation, vehicle has a clunking in steering when turning to left low speed and recent align check shows both front wheels slightly toe out, truck was aligned at dodge in February, and is a pampered highway truck, taking it in tomorrow for exhaust & tierod check.

Yeah I'm sure it'll be covered, but wondering about the tie rods, last wheel rot/bal showed toe out on Both front, had dodge align 6 mo ago after lift install, only reason I could think for toe issue is a bad tierod! No off roading in my truck or nasty pot holes!

Your vin was not included in the recall as I assume you know. I can't tell you if the recall will ever expand, as I do not know if that will ever happen. If it does turn out to be the tie-rods I would suggest calling the Customer Assistance Center and ask them to goodwill the repair as you are often in cold weather areas of the country. The number is in my above post.

Well I had the exhaust studs replaced, tierods were good according to tech but they said a wheel wt was rubbing on sway bar and charged me 119 for static balance to place wts inside rim (yeah bend me over), fixed problem but I feel price was way excessive, also did there vehicle inspection which is a joke, let's see they said my third brake light was out & wanted 19$ to fix (actually works, no thanks), next front, rear, and transfer case fluid was dirty (really? Just did that my self, 186 each roughly), next my spark plugs were old/dirty (if they would of checked my purchase hx they would of seen I bought 16 a month ago), they wanted 286$, it really pisses me off, I couldn't imagine how many lambs are slaughtered at the dealer every year, and no not first time encountering this, thank god I was brought up turning wrenches and some common sense.

I could see a hour or so labor maybe to figure out that a wheel weight was rubbing a sway bar. Kinda odd in my mind. I use to RECOMMEND all that other stuff. Had no idea most of the time if it had just been done. Was up to the owner to tell me what was current and if it wasn't. I use to RECOMMEND that kind of items many times a day in busy times. Also had lots of folks say it had not been done and lots buy and do maintance.

They still don't know what's making the noise, paid$$$ for nothing, tires were balanced a week ago they had it today most the day an still don't know, and as far as service recommended nope, sheets states items checked and found in need due to dirty fluid etc which we know is bs, just deceptive bus. Practices, the biggest was the third brake light being out which wasnt, could of been a mix up but don't think so, anyways they want the truck next week to go over some more, just don't know if it's worth it.

Only way its gets going to get repaired. Talk to the tech that is working on it. Tell service writer that for the moment your ONLY concern is the issue at hand.

That's what I did on Friday, he said he has gone through the front end and has found nothing loose or damaged, said noise is not normal, it's very slighty heard slow speed and felt in steering wheel, and not every time, but on a sharp turn with wheel on 3/4 of its turning angle, I'm thinking it's either strut/spring making the noise or cv, but the cv would/should do it on a right turn as well but that's not the case, soon as I get a wet road gonna put it in 4 lock and see if anything different! Other than that truck handles beautiful, looking to replace plastic bed moldings now since I'm tired of putting back to black on it.
