Default Ticking noise on start up!

I had the TSB done for the manifold bolts over 2 years ago, just noticed on start up I have a ticking noise on passenger side and after a minute it fades away, got under truck and it is definitely coming from the header area, due to heat shield I can't inspect all the bolts. Does anyone know if this is covered since it was a TSB or would it be covered under my lifetime powertrain warranty? I know at the least it's gonna need a new gasket and replacement header for sure.

Yup found broken stud no. 8 cylinder, one of the ones replaced in may of 2010, that and I think my tie rods are bad but will they replace on their dime? I live in Florida and she's a pavement princess, been in snow/ice several times each year!

If you are the original owner, the lifetime powertrain warranty specifically mentions the exhaust manifold as covered. Same thing happened to me also and they covered it under lifetime.

Roll,

Pedro is correct that the bolts should be covered under the Lifetime. If you are not the first owner I would suggest calling the Customer Assistance Center and let them know you had them replaced already once and that you do not feel you should have to pay. Numbers below.

I just dropped mine off at the dealership last night for the exact same reason. They tried telling me that since it had been done once under the recall that it wasn't covered anymore. I told them since I bought it with the lifetime warranty that it was still on their dime. They looked a little dejected after that but said it'd be taken care of. Hopefully I'll get it back from them in a few hours.

Hound dog all the info is on the page, LoL!

Yeah I'm sure it'll be covered, but wondering about the tie rods, last wheel rot/bal showed toe out on Both front, had dodge align 6 mo ago after lift install, only reason I could think for toe issue is a bad tierod! No off roading in my truck or nasty pot holes!

They should have checked the coverage you had before they indicated anything to you. Hopefully they get it fixed up quick for you.

Thanks for your reply, I am the first owner and happy with the truck even with the minor issues, just want done whats fair due to known issues, what is your opinion on the tierods, especially since they were very selective on who they sent the recall notices to, they didn't take in account people who travel to snow/ice areas.

They fixed it under warranty, no charge. Only took them a day. The motor sounds great again and is running strong.

The dealership here in the Springs isn't near as customer friendly as my original one in Florida was. They just look eager to take as much money from you as possible while smiling and acting like they care.
