I intend to have the pumpkin cracked open - but I'm content to wait for the nut retainer to be released. We've already got atleast two folks on this forum who've locked up while driving (I've PM'd them for their dates of manufacture - one had the 3.92) and neither one of them falls into the 'unofficial' recall period, the third fellow didn't know the date cuz he sold the specific truck and purchased a 2012 Ram 1500. And of course life has risks, but if you have more than one vehicle, and both accommodate spools, tools, and hand truck - why not park the Ram for a month or two? I drive it up/down the block weekly for maintenance, but look forward to getting back on the highway with it.
