Default Sketchy Dealer Repair!

Alright guys, I could use some opinions...

When I went to buy my 2010 Dodge Ram 1500, there was a few things wrong with it (which I expected being used), and during negotiations for the truck, the dealer (BROOKDALE LUTHER DODGE JEEP CHRYSLER, BROOKLYN PARK, MN) said that they would fix these deficiencies free of charge. Great, right? Well the issues they were SUPPOSED TO fix are as follows:
- Misaligned passenger power mirrior (didn't properly adjust)
- Re-glue the rubber gasket the runs the length of the roof on the driver side. Approx. 6" of this gasket needed to be re-glued.
- Paint approx. 4 sq. in. near the rear bumper (Living in MN, I didn't want the good paint to chip, rust, bubble, etc)
- Replace end cap on driver side running board
- Recall on the rear pinion nut

Well here's the issue that really pisses me off. Not only did they have the truck for a week and forgot about it, but I go to pick it up only to find that they only fixed 3 of the 5 things and the "paint" job looks like they took finger nail polish to it. (Attached Photo)
- They fixed the power mirror
- The end cap on the running board was replaced
- They attempted to paint the issues spot, but the new paint looks terrible and doesn't tie into or protect the nice, existing paint
- They DIDN'T re-glue the rubber gasket on the roof stating they needed warmer weather to do it (approx. 50 degrees). How cold is it in their shop that they couldn't do it?
- They DIDN'T repair the recall as part for it aren't currently available.

Now I guess my question to you all, is this something you would complain about? Especially the paint job portion of it? I understand not having the parts available or something, but doing this poor of quality of work or blaming the temp is just a joke.
Again, the dealership was Brookdale Luther Dodge Jeep Chrysler in Brookdale Park MN and I wouldn't recommend this dealer to anyone as it was a horrible experience for me. I definitely won't be bringing my truck back there once the warranty is gone.

Thanks for your opinions in the matter.

Sean,

If you feel there is a problem then I do not see why you would not go back to the dealer and inquire. As far as the warranty being up and going somewhere else, why wait? Unless there is not another Chrysler dealer in your area you can go to any dealer for warranty work at any time. As far as the recall goes, the dealer ship is correct as far as part availability. Below is a copy of the notice that was sent out regarding this recall.

SAFETY RECALL M34 / NHTSA 12V-474
REAR AXLE PINION NUT
Dear: (Name)
This interim notification letter is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Chrysler has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in some 2009 and 2010 model year Ram 1500 series trucks and Dodge Dakota trucks equipped with a 9.25” rear axle.
The problem is...
The rear axle pinion nut on your truck (VIN: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) may have been built without an adhesive patch on the pinion nut threads. The lack of this adhesive patch could allow the rear axle pinion nut to loosen and/or the rear driveshaft to separate from the rear axle. A loose pinion nut could cause the rear axle to seize and a separated driveshaft could cause a loss of motive power. Either situation could cause a crash without warning.
What Chrysler is doing...
Chrysler intends to repair your vehicle free of charge (parts and labor). Unfortunately, the parts required to provide a permanent remedy for this condition are currently not available. Chrysler anticipates the remedy parts will be available within the 1st quarter of 2013. Chrysler will contact you again by mail, with a follow-up recall notice, when the remedy parts are available.
What you must do to ensure your safety...
Once you receive your follow-up recall notice in the mail, simply contact your Chrysler, Jeep, or Dodge dealer right away to schedule a service appointment. Ask the dealer to hold the parts for your vehicle or to order them before your appointment.
If you need help...
If you have questions or concerns, please contact the Chrysler Group Recall Assistance Center at 1-800-853-1403.
If you have already experienced this condition and have paid to have it repaired, please send your original receipts and/or other adequate proof of payment to the following address for reimbursement: Chrysler Customer Assistance, P.O. Box 21-8007, Auburn Hills, MI 48321-8007, Attention: Reimbursement. Once we receive and verify the required documents, reimbursement will be sent to you within 60 days.
We're sorry for any inconvenience, but we are sincerely concerned about your safety. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

Never believe anything you hear, and only half of what you see.
This is exactly why we old timers call them stealerships instead of dealerships.
Cant hardly even trust them even if you`re standing right there watching them do the job either.

I had a paint issue covered under warranty and the original work done was terrible and looked something like your photo. I went back and complained and it didn't take much before they agreed to take it to a real body shop, get it fixed right, and give me a rental car during the time they had it. The work from the body shop looks a lot better, I can't tell it ever had a problem. I think you should go back, nicely state that you're not happy with the paint work, and ask them to please get a professional to fix it.

The thing we have to keep in mind is "the warranty is only as good as the dealer administering it". This is why especially in small towns you will often see one manufacturer dominate because the local dealer treats his customers better not necessarily because one make is better.

Touch up paint looks like crap. Sure for a little ping, but not a big stretch.

If I have a dealer 30-day warranty, does that mean I have to go to the dealer I bought the truck from? I would rather not have the same dealership do work on my truck unless I have to... I will be talking to them tomorrow though and see if something can be worked out to resolve these issues.

I do still have some of the 100k powertrain warranty left, but that doesn't cover the issues I am having currently unfortunately... .

Thank you everyone for your opinions. I have not had much experience with dealers so I wasn't completely sure what to expect. But now I know.

If it's a 30 warranty then it is most likely through that dealer or an aftermarket company.Check the paperwork on the 30 day warranty and see who administers it. Should be on the bottom of the front page or the back somewhere. If it is through an aftermarket company you could check with them as far as where you can take the vehicle.
