GPS Recalculating Hangs
My post in what I thought was an appropriate forum got nuked with no explanation, so I'll try in here...
I have the 430 nav system in my 2012 Ram 3500. When I go off route, miss a turn or something, it sometimes reboots several times in the process, but goes into a recalculating, gets to 99% then just freezes. Nothing responds. The only way to reset it is to stop the truck, turn off the ignition, open and close the door and wait for 60 seconds for it to discharge.
Anybody had a similar experience?

I "nuked" your thread because it had been two days with no response from you to my question about what truck you had. I apologize, I thought you were not coming back.
I will move you to the correct section, 4th Gen Ram. For future reference:

Once again, please accept my apology, and welcome to Dodge Forum.

Its no secret that all makes of factory in dash GPS systems suck. Ford, Toyota, GM, Dodge, Honda etc. Do not spend any serious time trying to figure out the issue. Spend a little over a hundred bucks and get an aftermarket unit. They are much faster at acquiring directions, updates are free, and much more accurate then the factory unit DVD updates. You wont regret it.
