Default Power inverter quit working. ???

I just realized my power converter inside the truck quit working, I press the button and it will illuminate for 2 seconds then shut off on it's own everytime. I also checked the fuse and it's good. Not too sure what the problem is, I always like that feature on the ram truck, and used it quite a bit.f

Anybody had the same issue in the pass?

No not that i know of, I don't even know where the unit itself is located at. It's internal somewhere but not sure where. I'm gonna try and call a dealer and ask how much it would be for a new one by curiosity.

I think they put the inverter under the passengers seat. Look to see if the connector(s) came loose before you buy a new one.

LU, just as much as I hate to say this, you are a freaking genius. Looked under the seat, which is where I store my lil compressor, saw the lil inverter attached under the seat, and sure enought the connector came apart. Plugged it back in and bam works again.

Sometimes it's the lil things that make a guy happy.

thanks alot man.

It wasnt your fault that the engineers put the unit in the worst possible location without any protection. Anyhow, glad to have helped and it all worked out and you didnt have to spend a bunch of cash for a mis-diagnoised problem and a new unit for no good reason.
