front winch trays recommendations
What in the world are you planning on pulling with it that only weighs 3-4K? Normally a winch is for recovering the vehicle and you wouldn't put anything less than a 10-12K winch on the front of a 1 ton.
Assuming you are talking about this:

Then you need to make sure you buy a front mount winch (generally 10-20K)
For winches I would be looking at Warn and maybe Ramsey

I thought about it too... tow rope and regular hand winch puller ... it's just electrical is easier and some time road is narrow so no place to pull back especially this big truck.
Then you should be able to get by with a 10K winch. Just remember that 3-4K stuck is not going to move with a 3-4K winch, the rating is for a rolling load - basically on flat ground.
