Default Antenna base chrome cover?

My 2009 1500 Crew's antenna base has faded badly and is the only real eye sore on what is otherwise a perfect finish. And all the detailing products, like Back to Black, only last for a few weeks in this hot Texas sun. Has anyone seen a chrome base or base cover for the antenna? If so, where? I've had no luck finding on online.

have never used wipe new but did use another product that I got from Amazon almost like the wipe new. Used both on my wife's car and the Ram, pretty good results, lasts a long while. Now that wipe new is at Wally World, may try it soon. Also available at wally world is the stuff that the Count has endorsed. Still over 10.00 so wont mess with it now. LOL

If Walmart is carrying Wipe New I might give it a shot. My 2009 is in the same situation. I've been noticing that base for awhile, and came close a couple of times to just hitting it with some flat black. I'm not sure how well paint will stick to that plastic though.

True, it's fusion paint..but, the door handles are made with a certain type of plastic, along with the ridges, if you try the plastic paint, willing to bet it will start to come off in less than a year..

Best to use a door trim/black restore product like the one your talking about..

I'm going the same fade issue and taking my door handles off to have sanded, cleaned, primed, coated, cleared is juuuuuust a bit out of my price range.

How would plasti-dip work. It's spray on, and peels off when you want it off. I haven't used it yet, just asking.

How about using 303 products? It's a protectant that keeps interior and exterior pieces away from fading.

I picked up Meguiar's Ultimate Black over the weekend and gave it a shot. It helped out a lot with the bed rails and mirror pieces, but really didn't do much at all for the antenna base.

Used Stoner's Trim Shine on the bed rails and very happy with the results so fair. Seems to be holding up well under this central CA sunshine, but I didn't have much luck treating the antennae base with it.
