I had the recall done. They installed the retainer. They had no clue to the death wobble, vibrations and whining noise. Still have that problem.

Death wobble is generally on for the 2500 and 3500 trucks. If you have steering looseness and vibrations on the 1500 then I would check the suspension parts closely. When do you have the whining noise?

How many miles on your truck... sounds like maybe a bad wheel bearing(?)
I would at least jack it up and wiggle the wheels and see if ther is any play.
Whats the tires look like... are they all chopped on the edges... maybe broken belts... tire pressure... ???

44k but it started around 30k. My original rear tires did wear 'knobby' on the edges. I just had brand new tires put on 1k miles ago. My dad has an 06' and bearings failed at 50k. I'll jack it up and check. All belts and tire pressure good. Just had alignment and balance with new tires.

my 09 is 2 wheel drive , had both front hubs replaced ... never had the death wobble , but did vibrate some .. but i noticed the WA WA WA sound first
also you may need to change shocks . My wranglers , did the same ... I rotate every 4-5 000 miles , plus I use BF Goodrich long trails
Good luck

this is typically a drive line vibration. driveshafts being at wrong angles from transfer case/diff.

is your truck lifted or any changes to suspension from stock?

wheel bearings will make a constant sound...typically don't produce vibrations as described. if wheel bearing you will hear it at slow speeds as well.

please provide all details about your truck model so we can help as best as possible.
