no i bought it used. it does come with limited warranty, but since i just bought it theres a 30 waiting period before i can take it in for any work, and im not even sure its covered, im guessing it is though

besides id rather just buy the part and have a good shop put it in as opposed to waiting days for the dealership to do it

thats what i thought but i guess its pretty common cause i asked around. i guess i can take the truck back within 30 days before the registration and a everything is finalized and before i pay my first bill. but if i want anything fixed at the dealership, i have to wait til after the 30 days

Most service contracts have a waiting period to prevent fraud. It's been that way for at least the 21 years i've been with Chrysler...in all their many forms.

Fraud by whom? Logic seems to point at the selling dealer not the poor customer who gets a defective vehicle. So if the dealer knows (or not) there is a problem with the truck and doesn't disclose it, sells the vehicle to the unsuspecting buyer, who then files a warranty claim on a problem that should have been fixed on the dealer's dime instead of the warrantor. What am I missing?

well for me, it kinda worked out in my favor. yeah theres a couple issues with the truck that they could have easily fixed, but its small things like sensors and the exhaust needs to be replaced. truck runs great though. but that was negotiated into the price. they came down almost 6gs from their asking. i figure that the exhaust and sensors will set me back about 1000-1500, but im ok with that

so back to the CMP actuator solenoid. anyone know where i can find one?

I don't this is it but, this is what I came up with.

Variable valve timing, Control Valve Solenoid - $9.77

I tried the link after I posted and it takes you to the Home webpage. Select the year and make and click on engine and transmission. Next click on engine, then camshaft and timing, and then Variable valve timing.

Here is another one
